Persolaise Shortlisted Twice For 2011 Jasmine Awards

Very exciting news. The shortlists for the Jasmine Awards were unveiled earlier today, and I'm thrilled to announce that my work came up not once, but twice.

In the Best Website Feature On Fragrance category, I've been shortlisted for Fragrant Fathers (the piece I wrote for Penhaligon's blog) as well as for the London Perfume Shopping Guide published right here on Persolaise.com... which means that you are reading what I can now officially call a Jasmine Award-shortlisted blog!

I'd like to thank the team at Penhaligon's for including my work on their site and, of course, all of you for continuing to support me. Your encouragement is always appreciated.

Here's the full shortlist for the Website Feature category, with links to the relevant articles:

The award ceremony will take place on the 8th of February. Wish me luck!

Persolaise.

  1. Amazing, congratulations! Talent and hard work does pay off. The French Jasmine Awards are gone unfortunately...

More power to the perfume blogs :)

  2. I am just beaming with pride. Last year was just a warm-up, this year you're taking it home!

  3. Critique De Parfum, thanks very much indeed. And yes, it's wonderful that the Jasmine judges have recognised a blog. Unless I'm mistaken, it's the first time they've done so, although I suppose some people would say Basenotes is a blog.

  4. Carrie, thank you so much. As for taking the award home, I know it's a terrible cliche, but it really is an honour just being shortlisted. And all the articles are so different from each other. I'd hate to have to choose between them.

  5. Congratulations! I'm not surprised at the nominations. As I Londoner I highly recommend your shopping guide and have found it very helpful myself. Thanks for updaing it too.

  7. Tara, that's high praise indeed, thank you so much.

I'll keep updating the guide whenever I can.

  8. Aaron S, thanks very much indeed. I confess I had no idea the Jasmine judges would recognise it in this way when I first wrote the guide, but I'm overjoyed that they have.

  9. Your guide is the counterpart to Denyse's pair for Paris, and will doubtless be a useful resource to people for years to come.

I thought you were shortchanged last year so fingers crossed this time.

On a side note, I like that shade of yellow. It is a little warmer than the one in my bedroom - I wouldn't mind setting it as my "wallpaper", quite literally!

  10. Vanessa, thank you so much for your kind words. I didn't feel shortchanged, but I appreciate what you're saying.

And thanks for the comment about the blog design. Feel free to send any other feedback my way.
